A native Atlantan, Buz Mayo is a husband to Devvie and father to four grown children. Four Streams Partners, Inc. is a not-for-profit ministry to men and is based in Johns Creek, GA. Four Streams began in 2009 as a unique expression of God's artistry in the life of a community of men.

Buz was deeply influenced by Young Life as a high school senior in Atlanta, GA. A thirty day experience of 'work crew' at Frontier Ranch (Buena Vista, CO) after his senior year was a harbinger of a lifelong passion for inside-out transformation. It was there that he first sensed that something deep inside had 'shifted' - in a good way - due to immersion in the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.

Faced with choices along the way about how he would uniquely express the indwelling life of Jesus, Buz sensed (for him) that God said 'No' at three distinct crossroads periods in his life. Sensing that God wasn't leading him to seminary (1st marker) or to Young Life staff (2nd marker, 10 years later) or to pastor a small church in Atlanta (3rd marker, another 10 years later), Buz 'turned pro' in the field of computer consulting and organizational development.

Of course as a young boy, his hopes were to 'turn pro' in something more glamorous. Even though that dream came to an end after college, Buz played a game he loved for 30 more years.

As a young family man, Buz started an entrepreneurial life in his early 30's. Starting two successful firms and collaborating in a joint venture for a 3rd company, he navigated - like many of you - both beautiful and turbulent times.

So many significant things come our way when we least expect it.

In 2009, after coaching and mentoring many men in their life journey, Buz stepped into a totally new arena.  He started Four Streams Partners with help and encouragement from his family and closest friends.

Having known the benefit of many mentors and too many gospel-loving friends to name, Buz has also been deeply influenced by the writings of C.S. Lewis, George MacDonald, Dallas Willard, Neil Anderson, Watchman Nee, Gary Barkalow and many others.  In the writings of John Eldredge, Buz found language for desires and experiences he had long known but could never put to words.

The communities of men who invest and engage with Four Streams Partners contain many remarkable men. They are becoming their 'truest selves' and many are 'beginning to believe' (as Morpheus said of Neo in The Matrix) that they have an irreplaceable role to play in God's Larger Story.
